Quran reciters on SABR
Every surah in SABR can be streamed with any of these four voices — from the modern warm baritone of Alafasy to the classical Egyptian murattal of Al-Husary. Pick the one that carries you through the ayah.
Mishary Rashid Alafasy
Alafasy recites in a modern murattal style — measured pace, warm baritone, meticulous tajweed. His voice sits in a mid range that stays easy on the ear during long sessions, which is a big reason his recordings are the default choice for memorisation apps.
Abdurrahmaan As-Sudais
As-Sudais is famous for a deep, resonant delivery with a subtle emotional catch that comes through in the du'a passages. He recites at a slightly faster clip than Alafasy, closer to the pace of Haram taraweeh.
Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary
Al-Husary's murattal is the reference for beginners studying tajweed. His pace is deliberately slow, every rule of madd, ghunna and idgham is textbook-clear, and there is no ornamentation that could distract a student from the rules of recitation.
Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi
Al-Minshawi's voice carries a distinctive tremor of khushu' — a controlled emotional weight that is impossible to fake. His murattal is slower than most contemporary reciters and lets each ayah settle before the next begins.
