As-Sabur
الصَّبُور
The Patient
What it means
Aṣ-Ṣabūr endures the sin and ingratitude of creation without hastening punishment. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'No one is more patient with harm heard than Allāh — they attribute a son to Him, yet He still provides for them and grants them health'. Learning patience from Aṣ-Ṣabūr is the servant's imitation of a divine attribute within their capacity.
