What it means
An-Nūr is the light of the heavens and the earth: physical light in creation, guiding light in scripture, and — for the believer — an inner light that clarifies truth from falsehood. Surah An-Nūr (24:35) contains the classical "ayah of light" that scholars have unpacked for centuries.
