Name 91 of 99
Ad-Darr
الضَّارّ
The Creator of Harm (by decree)
What it means
Aḍ-Ḍārr allows harm to reach whom He wills — as trial, as consequence, as purification. Classical scholars taught that harm never occurs by chance: it is either test, discipline, or preservation of a greater good.

The Arabic name and its enumeration follow the traditional list in Sunan al-Tirmidhī (§3507). The concise explanation reflects the consensus classical understanding taught in Al-Ghazālī's Al-Maqṣad al-Asnā and Ibn Kathīr's tafsīr. Qur'anic references are locations where the name appears in the Mushaf.
